JAE SHIN

I help implement the proven operational strategies of leading Silicon Valley companies, tailored to your business, to enhance your company's performance.

MY EXPERIENCE AT AMAZON

I worked as a principal product manager - technical at Amazon where I served as a single-threaded leader on a project, involving 40+ internal client teams.

One of the key aspects that stood out to me during my time at Amazon was the process-based operational approach used by leading Silicon Valley companies.

Process-based operations involve designing and implementing various Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance the efficiency of employees' work. Instead of relying on employees to figure things out on their own, the goal is to standardize and establish processes that drive optimal performance.

At Amazon, which employs over a million people worldwide, relying on individual capabilities to achieve business outcomes would be a risky management strategy. That's why I believe that building and continuously managing an internal operational system, enabling anyone to deliver strong results, is a strategic approach chosen by most successful tech companies.

The process-based operations I experienced are not only effective tools for helping companies consistently achieve their goals but also provide the best organizational management framework for strengthening and internalizing core competencies. In essence, the key to process-based operations is ensuring that no matter who is responsible for the task, successful outcomes are consistently achieved.
